Years writing for M&B: 5
Favorite article (written for M&B): Trotlining on the Tchefuncte or Marsh bass madness- tough call, I like to catch both bass and catfish a lot.
Favorite outdoor activities? Hunting and Fishing- I can't choose.
Top 3 bucket list fish: 10 pound speck, 12 pound bass, and to catch a Tarpon in Lake Pontchartrain
Favorite time of the year: That's a tough one! Spring has crawfishing, catfishing for big Tchefuncte blue cats, spawning bass and Turkey hunting. Summer has fishing, crabbing and gator hunting. Fall has deer hunting and great fishing too. Winter has deer and duck hunting. I'm going with Spring by the smallest of margins.
Favorite cocktail: I don't drink. I do love a big glass of chocolate milk though.
Favorite restaurant: Sal and Judy's
Favorite sports team: LSU sports and Southeastern Baseball
Favorite vacation spot: I'm a homebody. I don't like to travel. I'm happiest on the water or in the woods. I'll take fishing in Salt Bayou over a beach or mountain trip anyday.
Favorite band/artist: I like a lot of artists- Merle Haggard, Cody Jinks, Sturgill Simpson, Todd Snider, but my favorite is Waylon Jennings
Last rod/reel purchased: A custom made rod for marsh bass fishing made by Patrick Engerran at Tangi Fishing Rods. I paired it with an ultralight Lews spinning reel. Great combination for bass fishing in the marshes of the Northshore.
Dream retirement location: Two places that I would like to spend my retirement. A camp on Salt Bayou to fish, crab, shrimp and duck hunt and then my hunting lease in Plain Dealing. Spend the fall and winter chasing bucks, hogs and hunting flooded timber when I'm not fishing.
